Description
10/2/25 - The Colt United States Cavalry Commemorative Set was produced in 1977 to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the American Cavalry. This set features a pair of Colt Single Action Army revolvers in .44 Colt, housed in a fitted walnut display case lined in red velvet. The revolvers are finished in a striking combination of deep Colt blue with richly case-hardened frames, and fitted with walnut grips. Marked with special Commemorative roll-engraving and serially numbered in matching sets, these revolvers were issued in limited numbers for the collector market. The design pays tribute to the heritage of the U.S. Cavalry, which first saw organized service in 1777 during the Revolutionary War, and later became an iconic symbol of the American frontier. As a factory-issued commemorative set, it represents both Colt’s craftsmanship and America’s military legacy, making it a desirable addition for Colt collectors and enthusiasts of U.S. history alike. It comes with its original case, wood stock, powder horn, bullet mold, nipple tool, and tin for percussion caps. The guns are in mint condition except for a few tiny marks along the bottom edge of one of the grip panels. No FFL required.
