3/3/26 - This is a nice Colt Model 1909 revolver issued to the US Army in 1911. All matching with the proper early Colt "surfboard" logo and "United States Property" marking. "RAC" military markings throughout, even on the bottom edges of the grip panels. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its original high polish bluing. The vast majority of the finish loss is on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard (where there is also some very light brown patina), so the finish on the rest of the gun is actually really nice. There is general high edge wear and light scratches and handling marks on the rest of the gun. Bright fire-bluing on the small parts. Nice period-correct wood grips. Mint bore.
