Description
10/16/26 - This is a commercial Mauser Model 1930 Broomhandle from the 1930's. This variant appeared in 1930 and was the first C-96 to carry a real model designation. Mauser called it the Modell 1930, but the common modern name is the M-30. With the M-30, Mauser dropped the Bolo-sized C-96 for good and returned to the standard formula that had dominated throughout the prewar and wartime eras: a 10-shot magazine, large grip, long barrel, 1000 meter tangent sight, and grooved walnut grip panels. This particular example is all matching and properly double "Crown U" proofed. It has retained about 90% of its original bluing, with the majority of the wear on the back strap from where someone was attaching and removing the stock. There are also a few spots of wear and patina on the underside of the barrel, general high edge wear, and some wear and a series of small dings at the front edge of the frame. Fitted with minty, unnumbered wood grips. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. An all-matching M-30 with a strong bore and a classic Broomhandle profile.
