Description

07/01/2024 - For sale is a Vz.24 Mauser that was captured by Germany and reworked during WW2. The receiver has been scrubbed of any markings other than "Vz.24" on the side. The right side of the receiver ring is stamped with an Eagle/N. The rifle retains a nice bluing but has freckling of oxidation. The stock is in great condition overall with no cracks or breaks. The rifle has a matching "13" serial number stamped on the barrel, receiver, bolt, bolt sleeve, cocking piece, safety flag, bolt release lever, magazine floor, trigger guard, and both barrel bands. The rear sight is not matching. The rear sight sleeve is stamped with Waffen Eagle/653 and "42" for Oberndorf. The top of the barrel is stamped "BO153." The bolt is also stamped with an Eagle/N. The buttplate is heavily corroded. The bore is dark but rifling is visible when shining a light through.
