Description

2/11/22 - This is a nice example of an Argentine copy of the Colt ACE, made by D.G.F.M. It was originally made for the Buenos Aires Provincial Police forces. It was later converted by the Argentines to fire .22 Long Rifle ammunition. Like the original Colt "Service Model Ace", it uses a floating chamber barrel which amplifies the recoil of the little .22LR. This both increases functional reliability and also better simulates .45 caliber recoil for realistic training. Overall condition is about good and the slide and frame are serial numbered to match. Parkerized finish with little finish loss but some discoloration on left/top of slide. Excellent bore. Nice wood grips with minor handling wear. No import mark. C&R eligible.
