Description
3/17/26 - This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. All matching with the proper military proofs. This one is "double dated" with a "1920" government property marking on the receiver, indicating it remained in government service after WW1. This one was reworked by and issued to the German police force, likely during the Weimar era. There are added "Crown N" proofs, an added police sear safety, and Police unit markings on the front strap that read "S. L. Pol. 3595" (crossed out) and " S. P. L.". It comes as a rig with a matching police arsenal-numbered magazine, a blank aluminum bottom magazine, an Imperial tool, and a 1917-dated holster that was reworked for police use. The gun has retained about 92% of its finish with high edge and muzzle wear. The wood grips have had a very light lacquer applied. The left panel is numbered "12", the right side is un-numbered and Imperial-proofed. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
