Description
5/14/26 - This is a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. All matching with the proper military proofs. This one is "double dated" with a "1920" government property marking on the receiver, indicating it remained in government service after WW1. This one was reworked by and issued to the German police force, likely during the Weimar era. There are added "Crown N" proofs, an added police sear safety, "Crown RC" markings, and Police unit markings on the front strap that read "S. L. Pol. 4015" (crossed out) and " S. P. L.". S. L. Pol. Is for “Saechsische Landessicherheitspolizei” (Saxon State Security Police) and S.P.L. is for “Saechsische Polizei Leipzig”. It comes as a rig with two mismatched police arsenal-numbered Haenel magazines and a 1918-dated holster that was reworked for police use (unit numbered, but not matching to the gun). The gun has retained roughly 85% of its finish with obvious finish loss on the grip straps, general high edge wear, thinning around the chamber, and muzzle wear. Fitted with un-numbered blonde wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable frosting throughout.
