Description
8/26/26 - This is a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. It is "double dated" with a "1920" government property marking on the receiver, indicating it remained in government service after WW1. It was reworked by and issued to the German police force, likely during the Weimar era. Some of the small parts are mismatched. This gun would make a good shooter, as it has been obviously re-blued and heavily buffed. There is almost no actual bluing loss, but there are some pits under the finish here and there and a few tiny spots of oxidation. Fitted with modern replacement wood grips (chip on the left side) and comes with a mismatched WW2-era magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking and frosting throughout. There is what appears to be a small drilled hole in the side plate - doesn't seem to affect functionality.
