Description
7/29/26 - This is a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. All matching with the proper military proofs. The side plate was re-numbered to match, likely at the police arsenal. This one is "double dated" with a "1920" government property marking on the receiver, indicating it remained in government service after WW1. It was reworked by and issued to the German police force, likely during the Weimar era. There are added "Crown N" proofs, an added police sear safety, and Police unit markings on the front strap that read "S. L. Pol." (crossed out) and " S. P. L.". S. L. Pol. Is for “Saechsische Landessicherheitspolizei” (Saxon State Security Police) and S.P.L. is for “Saechsische Polizei Leipzig”. The gun has retained about 96% of its finish with very minor high edge / muzzle wear. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips and comes with a mismatched WW2-era police magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
