Description
3/19/21 - This is a nice example of a DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Luger sold in the commercial market in the early 1900's. This is the first production model of this variation, made in or around 1900 with early dish toggle. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. This particular gun was made just before the military test-eagle variation. It is all matching and has retained roughly 45% of its original finish. There is significant wear on the straps, side plate, and sides of the frame. Spotty wear around the high edges and on the barrel. Spotty oxidation here and there, most noticeable on the barrel and left side of the gun. Comes with excellent grips and an un-marked magazine. The right side of the mag bottom is a little worn down. Decently rifling in the bore with pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
