Description
6/9/26 - This is a very nice example of an early Mauser HSC issued to the Nazi military in 1941. All matching with the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proof on the trigger guard. It comes as a rig with two Mauser banner magazines and a scarce waffen-proofed HSC holster. The holster is dated 1941, has a "jhg" makers mark, a clear Mauser ink stamp on the inside, and a waffen proof on the tip of the closure strap. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original high polish bluing with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and an area of light wear on the right side of the slide. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - the right side has a painted red cross. The bore has strong rifling, but there is some areas of minor freckling in the grooves.
