Description
11/4/22 - This is a fantastic example of a very early and desirable Colt SP1 that predates the Vietnam War. Dates to late 1966 or very early 1967, and this is a very rare (but niche) variation with an uncommon roll mark. For about 1,000 serials from 74xx to 85xx, the receiver is roll mark with no "SP" in the serial number. This rifle is original with around 97% finish remaining, just very minor surface scuffing. The early barrel is marked '12' on underside, indicating it has the 1x12 inch twist. Three prong flash hider is present, as is bayonet lug. Early triangular handguards and early style buttstock, with no provisions for internal storage. Two piece buffer tube with chrome bolt face. Minty bore and C&R eligible.Specifications
