8/11/26 - This is an excellent example of a rare and early hard shell style P.38 holster. We believe this was manufactured around 1940. The holster has no markings or stamps, which is correct for the commercial style. Aside from typical pairing with German commercial market guns, we have also seen these holsters paired with the early Swedish Military contract P.38's. The reddish-brown leather also indicates early production as almost all major wartime production and military production holsters were black leather. Overall the leather is excellent with very minor scuffs here and there. Stitching is intact and all original. There is light surface cracking in the closure strap but still very supple. Clean interior leather.
