Description

12/1/23 - This is a matching and original K98 that was made in 1938 for the German Army at the Mauser AG Borsigwalde factory. All numbered parts on the rifle match, including the receiver, barrel, bands, rear sight assembly, trigger assembly, floorplate, buttplate, stock, bolt, etc. The safety is unnumbered and was likely replaced/repaired at some point. The bluing on the rifle is original but shows some thinning and patina throughout, most pronounced on the trigger group and the barrel. Bore has good rifling but minor frost and freckling in the grooves. The stock shows handling wear and age with a thin gouge on the right face, but no structural issues. Comes with a worn but original leather sling.
