09/03/26 - For sale is a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 made in 1905. The rifle had been rebuilt sometime in the past and sits in a Remington-marked stock. The receiver retains a nice aged bluing with areas of patina and old surface oxidation. The receiver had been drilled and tapped for a side-mounted peep sight. The stock is in great shape without any cracks or breaks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The trapdoor on the buttplate has no spring tension, so it is loose. There is old sticker residue from keeping it closed.
