SOLD - EARLY Type 14 Nambu - First Year Production

3/20/18 - This is the earliest Nambu we have ever offered and among the earliest made.  The type 14 was officially adopted for issue into the Japanese Army in 1927, so a 2 date would be the FIRST year issued.    It has all original finish and all matching numbers except for the magazine. The firing pin is not numbered but does have the factory proof on it.  All other parts are properly numbered and matching.   The grips match the gun.  NOT handwritten but stamped 1400 with a factory proof.   Hard to imagine it survived this long and in this condition as it most likely saw action in China and then who knows where.   The magazine is correct early nickeled but numbered to a different gun.  The bore is very good - shiny and well rifled.  This gun had to have been issued to an officer or desk clerk as it went thru a long Japanese war (they started in 193 ) and tropical/salt air climates.  Not sure how many 1927's are out there but this has to be a rare find.
