Description
5/15/26 - This is a very early Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1913. It is "United States Property" marked and has the proper military inspection proof. It has a later Colt "intertwined HP" barrel. It comes as a rig with a 1918-dated holster ("EG" initials scratched on the back), a 1918-dated canvas ammo pouch, one lanyard loop magazine, and one standard two-tone magazine. The finish rates roughly 55% with obvious spotty wear and pitting on the slide and thinning on the grip straps. Areas of spotty oxidation here and there. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips - both grips show some wear and rounding, and there is a small gouge on the left side. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pitting throughout.
