SOLD - 1947 British Jungle Carbine

3/8/24 - This is an orignal No 5 Mk 1 Jungle Carbine. This example retains most of its bluing finish on the barrel and muzzle device, with the receiver, magazine, and trigger guard showing a bit more finish wear as those areas would have had more handling. Overall finish rates 80%. The bore has fairly strong rifling, with some frosting near the muzzle end and no heavy corrosion. We rate the bore an 8/10. The wood stock has some light dings and general use wear with no signs of hard abuse. The rubber recoil pad is still fully intact and has some give to it. The rifle is all matching except for the stock and muzzle device/front sight post. Overall a pretty decent example that is mechanically fully functional and retains a good amount of its original look.
