5/22/24 - This is a great-condition example of a Remington Model 742 Woodsmaster rifle in 30-06. This rifle retains most of its original blued finish on the barrel and receiver, with light finish loss on the muzzle and some high edge wear on both sides of the receiver. Overall finish rates are about 80%. The bore has some light pitting but is shiny and polished with strong rifling throughout. We rate the bore a solid 8/10. All moving parts function as they should on this rifle. Great wood throughout with just minor handling marks and excellent checkering. The rifle comes with one five-round magazine.
