Description

9/28/23 - This is an original WW1 Daniel Herder German boot knife. The blade shows minor patches of patina without rust or pitting. Edge has not been sharpened. Marker stamp reads Daniel Herder Ohilgs Solingen. The quillon has patches of surface rust and what appears to be bits of black paint. Wood grips are in excellent condition with a nice dark brown/reddish color. The scabbard has a speckled patina with minor surface rust, and the connected leather strap is fully intact but covered in an oil substance.
