Description

8/24/23 - This is an original Dutch Beaumont rifle Model 1871/88. A heavy patina is present down the length of the barrel, as well as most of the action and magazine. There's no rust or pitting despite this patina, with the exception of the front sight blade. The bore rates 7.5/10 with strong rifling considering age; however, the bore does suffer from pitting, likely due to corrosive ammo. All moving parts function as they should, and there is a magazine disconnect on the left side of the gun. Two things to note: there is a screw missing from the outermost barrel band, and two good size gouges are on the right side of the stock near the butt plate. The gun is all matching, including the bolt, barrel, and magazine follower.
