Description

5/12/26 - This is a very nice Walther PP manufactured at the end of the war in 1945. This is a GI mismatched gun put together by an American GI at the very end of the war. It has no proof marks, indicating it was never issued and never made it out of the Walther factory. It properly has no slide legend and has an "ac" Walther factory code on the right side of the slide. It has rougher visible machine marks, a correct trait for this late-war gun. It comes as a rig with a tan leather shoulder holster and a scarce, late-war, "W" marked finger extension magazine. It also comes with the original copy of the WW2 capture document that lists this gun by serial number and names US GI "C.H. Hohemier" for Charles Hoheimer. Also included is a hand-written letter from Charles' wife to a friend or family member where she talks about Charles, the gun (she even lists the serial number), and offers the gun to that person. The gun itself has retained about 94-95% of its original finish with minor high edge and muzzle wear. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is minor discoloration on the slide, a few tiny surface scratches, and a few small pits on the right side of the slide. Fitted with black bakelite grips. Mint bore.
