Description
6/9/21 - This is an end-of-war Sauer 38h, manufactured in 1945. It was never issued, proof-marked, or given a factory serial number. It was likely captured by an American GI who had it serialized and had "Germany 1945 DID" etched onto the slide. We assume "DID" are his initials. The gun has retained about 94% of its original finish. While there is not a ton of actual of finish loss, there are areas of heavy pitting around the muzzle, right side of the slide, the front strap, and base of the magazine. Chip in the left grip panel. Magazine is period-correct. The bore is mint.Specifications
