Description
2/25/26 - This is a very nice example of an end-of-war Sauer 38h, manufactured in 1945. It was never issued, proof-marked, or given a factory serial number. It was likely captured and put-together by an American GI. The slide is mismatched to the frame (a common trait of this variation). It comes as a rig with a scarce paper Ersatz holster (the top flap shows a tear), one zinc-bottom magazine, and one half-moon magazine. The slide is completely in-the-white, or unfinished metal. This is also common to see with end-of-war guns put together from leftover parts. The slide shows some light spotty brown patina and a few dings here and there. Fitted with black plastic grips - tiny hairline crack on the right side. Minty bore.
