Description
6/15/23 - This is a clean example of a Enfield Martini Henry that was converted to .22LR by CG Bonehill for the ÄúSociety of Miniature Rifle ClubsÄù in the early 1900s. These rifles were converted to .22LR from surplus Martinis to promote target shooting for the working class. CG Bonehill was the primary supplier to this group. The rifle is in great condition for its age, with natural patina throughout and no rust or pitting. The stock is clean with no major blemishes. The rear two inches of the stock has been replaced. There is still a feint cartouche on the right side. The underside of the fore stock is stamped ÄúDPÄù for "Drill Purpose". Receiver is marked Äú1872 EnfieldÄù and numerous proofs. The other side of the receiver is stamped ÄúConversion by CG BonehillÄù and how it's for the rifle club. The bore is dark with rifling still visible, we rate 8/10 overall. Rear sight ladder is missing. Antique so no FFL required.Specifications
