3/18/26 - This is a beautiful example of an engraved Colt ACE, manufactured in 1931 and chambered in .22 LR. The gun entire features really intricate and detailed Celtic knotwork engraving work with gold border accents. This work was not done at the Colt Factory, but this is definitely high-level work done professionally. The bluing is bright and shows no signs of wear or use. It comes fitted with a trigger extension and beautiful real ivory grips - there is a blank brass name plate on the left side. Mint bore. The gun comes with a really nice wood presentation case, three magazines, and a custom floral engraved leather magazine pouch. We did order a Colt Factory letter that the buyer will receive when it comes in. Colt Archives did call and told us that the gun was shipped to H&D Folsom Arms Co in New York, NY on October 5th, 1931 in a 15 gun shipment. It was chambered in .22 LR with no engraving.
