Description
3/11/26 - This is a minty example of a nickeled and engraved Smith & Wesson 2nd Model Hand Ejector revolver. The gun is all matching, shows detailed scrollwork engraving throughout, and has a "BJ" signature on the underside of the frame. This is the signature of master engraver Bill Johns. Bill Johns is an American firearms engraver known for his finely executed scrollwork and traditional engraving styles. Active in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, he became recognized among collectors for embellishing high-quality pistols, revolvers, and rifles with classic American scroll patterns, game scenes, and occasional gold inlay. Firearms engraved by Johns are appreciated for their clean execution and craftsmanship, continuing the long tradition of decorative firearm engraving in the United States. This gun shows almost no signs of wear with only a few tiny dots of oxidation on the cylinder. Fitted with beautiful real ivory grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
