Erma Erfurt .22 LR Luger Conversion Kit

Description

11/3/26 - For sale is an Erma Erfurt .22 LR conversion kit for the P.08 Luger. Before and during WWII, Erma of Erfurt produced these sub-caliber insert kits so Luger owners and military and police units could train with inexpensive .22 rimfire ammunition, and original prewar Erma kits are scarce and very popular with Luger collectors. This kit includes the barrel insert, the toggle and breechblock assembly with its recoil spring, a magazine, the barrel insertion tool and sleeve, and a set of spare springs, pins, and washers. The toggle is marked "ERMA ERFURT," and the kit parts are numbered "1856" with an "a" suffix. The magazine is marked "Made in Germany" and is not numbered to the kit. The kit is housed in a wooden box marked "ERMA - Einstecksystem SE 08/2," which is a reproduction and not original to this prewar kit. The parts retain most of their bluing, with light handling wear consistent with age. The bore of the barrel insert is like new, a 10 out of 10. A nice prewar Erma conversion kit for the Luger collector.
