Description
5/9/25 - This is an excellent example of an Estonian contract FN Hi Power holster, as issued with pistols supplied by Fabrique Nationale to Estonia in the late 1930s. This particular example was later used by the German Army during World War II following their occupation of Estonia and capture of Estonian military stores. The holster is in great overall condition. The exterior leather remains sturdy and well-formed, while the interior remains supple and pliable. There is mild age wrinkling and distressing to the external top flap leather, visible primarily on the top of the front and reverse sides. Light, surface-level gouges or pin-prick marks are present in a few areas above the closure strap, below the belt loop, and on the belt loop itself. There are a couple of missing stitching on the bottom left of the backside. This listing also comes with an original cleaning rod, which is designed to fit within an interior channel. This example retains several key features typical of original Estonian High Power holsters, including a heavy leather body, full-coverage leather flap secured by a forward strap and reinforced with a distinctive brass catch plate, and riveted belt loops on the backside. These features are all consistent with a late 1930s Estonian military production. Stitching is tight, and the construction is solid throughout.Specifications
