Description
4/14/26- For sale is a WW2 era Everitt knuckle knife. These knives adopt the same general style as the famous 1918 trench knife but were only manufactured for WW2 use. The Everitt knife is somewhat mysterious, without military proofs or clear records of service, but the knives are known to have been used and carried by American forces in the Pacific. This particular example is worn. The handle was originally painted black but has noticeable spots of wear and paint loss, totaling about 30% of paint loss. The blade surface has a mix of patina, corrosion, and rust. Some spots of the blade look like they could be cleaned up but a few spots especially towards the tip appear to be more deeply rusted. Legacy could attempt to clean the blade but hasn't done so yet to avoid damage. The scabbard is original and mostly intact. The metal fittings are slightly rusted and corroded but still intact. The handle strap is present but one side has torn off, leaving the snap incomplete and non-functional. A rare piece in fair condition.
