Description
7/6/26 - This is an excellent example of a scarce Colt 1911 made in 1918. It has the uncommon Black Army finish which is a darker matte blue. Correct intertwined "HP" Colt barrel. The gun's original "black army" finish is better than most you'll see - the majority of the examples encountered have noticeable flaking in the finish. Nearly all of the finish loss on this one is on the grip straps, so the profile views are very nice. There is also general high edge wear and some scratches and dings in the metal around the muzzle. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips. Comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is obvious spotty oxidation and pitting throughout.
