Description
10/14/26 - This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920s, chambered in .30 Luger. After WWI, the Treaty of Versailles restricted German pistol production, and DWM turned to the commercial and export trade with .30 caliber Lugers like this one, which carry the civilian "Crown N" proof. It has retained about 95% of its original finish with very minor high edge and muzzle wear, an area of light freckling and pinpricking around the chamber, and some very minor dulling on the grip straps. Barrel has mismatched serial number to frame. Fitted with excellent unnumbered wood grips with a few tiny marks on the left side, and comes with a mismatched WWI-era magazine with a couple of small chips in the magazine base. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling, 9/10.
