SOLD - Excellent 1943 Astra Model 300 Rig, 9mm kurz - WW2 Capture w/ Provenance

9/15/26 - This is an excellent example of a Spanish Astra Model 300 issued to the Nazi military during WW2. Chambered in 9mm kurz or .380 ACP. It was part of a shipment of 3,500 guns on February 12, 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 251" Nazi military acceptance proof on the right side of the tang. This particular gun was captured by one James T. Henderson, who served as a Technical Sergeant Medical Detachment Special Troops in the 99th Infantry Division of the US Army in WW2. James received a Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WW2 Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign, and 3 Bronze Stars. This rig comes to us from James' son. Included with the rig is a signed letter from the son, detailing some of the history of his father's service and how he came to acquire the gun. It also comes with the original WW2 capture document that names Henderson and lists this exact gun by serial number. The gun includes two proper magazines and a period-correct holster that has a piece of medical tape with the name "James T. Henderson" written on it. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its original finish. While there is almost no actual finish loss, there are a few marks around the muzzle and some light spotty oxidation on the top of the slide and barrel. Fitted with minty wood grips. Very nice bore with strong rifling.
