Description

6/1/21 - This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military proofs. The left side of the frame has an asterisk proof, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 94-95% of its bluing. There is minor thinning and patina on the front strap and minor wear on the front edges of the slide, top of the barrel, and around the muzzle. Comes with excellent grips and a proper magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional. There is thick grease in the internals - could benefit from a cleaning.
