9/23/26 - An excellent WWII FN Browning High Power holster, maker-coded "clg/44" below the front strap - Ernst Melzig production, 1944. The brown leather remains sturdy yet pliable with no rips or tears anywhere. The lid edges show some wear and the exterior coating has light surface cracking that does not penetrate the outer layer; there are hints of mildew near the front flap and by the belt loop on the back. The stitching is in excellent shape throughout, aside from one pulled stitch at the back where the flap attaches and a needle hole above the magazine pouch on the left side. Original dated wartime High Power holsters in this condition are getting legitimately hard to find - the perfect companion for a WWII-production High Power.
