Excellent 1944 High Power Holster - Ernst Melzig

9/23/26 - This is an excellent example of a WWII FN Browning High Power holster manufactured by Ernst Melzig in 1944. The leather on this brown holster has remained sturdy yet pliable with no signs of any rips or tears. The edges on the lid of the holster show some wear, and the surface of the lid of the shows some light cracking on the exterior coating, though it does not appear to penetrate the outer layer. There are some hints of mildew present on the front flap as well as near the belt loop on the back of the holster. Below the front strap, this holster bears the "clg/44" maker's mark. The manufacturer's code "clg" is representative of Ernst Melzig, and the "44" is the manufacturing year. The stitching on this holster is in excellent shape with no ripping or tearing. There is a pulled stitch on the back of the holster where the front flap is attached, and there is a needle hole above the magazine pouch on the left side. Overall this is a great, original High Power holster.
