Description
10/20/26 - This is an excellent example of an early Colt Gold Cup National Match, manufactured in 1958 and chambered in .45 ACP. The National Match is Colt's competition-grade version of the classic Government Model, built when competitive pistol shooting was booming in the United States, with a tuned National Match barrel and bushing, improved slide-to-frame fit, a polished feed ramp and throat, and adjustable target sights. This is an early example, marked "National Match" on the slide without the later "Gold Cup" roll stamp. The finish rates about 96%, with just a hint of muzzle wear and a few very light surface scratches here and there, along with a few small spots of light spotty discoloration on the frame around the grip panels. Fitted with mint checkered wood grips, and comes with one proper magazine. Minty bore, 9.5/10.
