Description
10/7/26 - This is an excellent, boxed example of a factory nickel Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless, chambered in .380 and shipped in 1940. It is all matching, and it comes with its original matching-numbered box, owner's manual, one correct factory nickel magazine, and a Colt factory letter. According to the letter, this pistol was shipped to W.S. Darley & Co. in Chicago, Illinois on December 12th, 1940, with the finish listed as nickel. Although it is not listed on the factory letter as having come with pearl grips, the original matching-numbered box is labeled "PEARL." The original factory nickel finish rates about 97%, with just a few micro scratches here and there and a couple of tiny dots of oxidation around the high edges toward the front half of the slide. The finish is paired very nicely with a set of beautiful mother of pearl grips. Mint bore.
