Description
8/4/26 - This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911A1 manufactured in 1945. It is all-correct, has the proper "United States Property" marking, and the proper US military cross-canon cartouche. This one, however, has British proofs throughout, indicating it was part of the WW2 British Lend-Lease Program. Barrel is marked with a P on one side of the lug, and a square C on the other. It has retained about 97% of its parkerized finish with hints of wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Fitted with excellent grips and comes with an unmarked magazine. Strong bore but there is a little frost in the grooves. It also comes with a period-correct gray canvas holster - there is a fairly faint but visible ink stamp on the inside that is dated 1941.
