Description
6/25/26 - This is an excellent example of a Colt M1877 Lightning revolver from 1902. The Model 1877 was Colt's first attempt at a double action revolver and is chambered for the .38 Long Colt cartridge. It has an outward appearance similar to that of the famous Single Action Army with a solid frame and loading gate. This revolver wears a 4-1/2" barrel with ejector rod. It is all matching with bluing on the cylinder, barrel, and grip straps. Excellent case-hardening on the frame. The gun is better than most you'll see, retaining about 90% of its finish. There is honest flaking in the finish and light brown patina, primarily on the grip straps and along the ejector rod tube. There is also general high edge and muzzle wear. Fitted with excellent period-correct brown hard rubber grips. The majority of the bore is shiny and minty, but there are some areas of obvious oxidation and pitting. Comes with a more modern tan leather holster with a Mexican seal medallion.
