Description
10/20/26 - This is an excellent example of a commercial Dreyse Model 1907 in .32 ACP, marked "Rheinmetall Abt. Sömmerda." Designed by Louis Schmeisser and built at the old Dreyse works in Sömmerda, the Model 1907 was one of Germany's best-known pocket pistols of the early 20th century, carried by police and military officers as well as civilians; this example dates from the 1920s, after the factory came under the Rheinmetall name. It is all matching with the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs, and there is a "GERMANY" export marking on the right side of the slide. The original finish rates about 97%, with hints of high edge wear and a small area of wear on the front strap. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is very light freckling on most of the gun and a few small dots of oxidation and pitting at the back left of the frame. Fitted with period-correct horn grips with a hairline crack on the left side, and comes with one proper magazine. The bore is 8/10, with excellent rifling and very light frosting throughout.
