11/14/24 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Colt 1911A1 from 1941 with brushed blue finish prior to the change to parkerization. One of <20,000 blued examples produced in 1941. It has 92-94% of the original blue remaining, with minor high edge wear on the slide but most of the finish loss on the front strap. Proper 'G' barrel with strong, shiny bore. Early, excellent wood grips. Slide has matching serial number to the frame. Early, two-tone mag. The listing includes two (free) books on the 1911 that were thrown in by the consignor.
