12/26/18 - This is the nicest early (Civil War era) Military issued Colt we have ever offered. It has a significant amount of original bluing remaining on the gun. This quality of gun is rarely seen. We rate the overall condition at around 80% which is remarkable given the item's age. It is all matching numbers and the bore is excellent. I would rate the bore a 7 out of 10 with little wear or corrosion. There are clear inspector initials on the original wooden grips and then various inspector proofs on most visible parts (generally M, K and K). Cylinder scene is still visible. The action is tight and it seems to function well. Timing seems excellent. Clean brass and some case hardening still remains on the hammer and frame.
