Description
8/19/25 - This is an excellent and rare example of an Inglis High Power No 2 Mk 1 from WW2. This particular gun is all matching and has a mostly intact Maple Leaf decal on the front strap (it is rare to see one of these in such great shape). It comes as a rig with a minty canvas holster, one proper magazine, a lanyard, and a copy of the "Inglis Diamond - The Canadian High Power Pistol" by Clive Law, a great resource for collecting these guns. Also included with the gun is an excerpt of the book that talks about these pistols with "EX" serial prefixes. In this serial range, there are several possible prototype and presentation guns. Ours comes with a signed and notarized letter from the son of the original owner who explains that his dad was an inspector a the Remington Rand factory in Syracuse, NY during WW2. During his time there, he was promoted to Chief Inspector. He was given the subject Inglis by his Canadian counterpart at the Inglis factory. It is possibly a prototype of the "T" series pistols described in the "Inglis Diamond" book. The gun is matching and has retained nearly all of its dull wartime finish. However, there are tiny dots of discoloration along both sides of the gun. Fitted with period-correct black bakelite grips. Mint bore.
