Description
9/29/26 - This is an excellent example of a late-war Walther P.38 magazine. The finish on the tube of this magazine is in excellent shape with very minimal finish loss. The left side of the magazine shows a scratch roughly 1/4" in length. The spine just below the military inspection proof has a small spot of finish loss. Besides those two notable losses, there are some blemishes and wear on the surface, though they have not resulted in finish loss. The left side of the tube is stamped "P.38v" over "U". The "U" signifies that this magazine was unhardened ("ungehärtet"). The spine of the magazine bears the correct E/359 inspection proof towards the follower. The baseplate on this magazine is in very nice shape with hints of high-edge wear. The follower has smooth travel throughout the tube and the spring has remained strong yet responsive. These magazines correspond with Walther ac44 and ac45 code P.38s. Overall an excellent Walther P.38 magazine.
