SOLD - Excellent Nazi Navy Mauser Luger - 1940

Description

12/19/17 - This is a beautiful and rare Nazi Navy Mauser luger from 1940.  The original finish rates at 97-98% with some finish loss on the sideplate, muzzle and very bottom of the front strap.  There were only an estimated ~6000 German Navy procured lugers in the 1936-1940 period, and you rarely see them as nice as this one because so many were exposed to the salt air.  All matching numbered parts with the exception of the magazine.  Magazine looks like a police style numbered mag.  We can swap for a military period correct magazine should the buyer prefer.  Grips are also numbered to the gun and Eagle/655 proofed as well.  N4129 Property number on the back strap which was applied at the Nortsee Naval base and shows obvious age and wear to the marking.  Serial falls in proper range for 1940 Navy lugers (a suffix).  Shiny bore with only minor signs of use.
