Description
8/2/26 - This is an excellent example of a Remington M1917 bayonet from 1917. The bayonet blade is in great condition with just hints of surface oxidation and no signs of sharpening or polishing. The ricasso is U.S. stamped with a flaming bomb and eagle head on one side, and Remington 1917 stamped on the other side. The ricasso is blued while the rest of the blade is left in the white. This is correct for a WW1 blade. The hand guard and pommel are in excellent shape and the wood grips have no chips or cracks. The scabbard is a Beckwith & Co. manufactured piece from the WW2 era. It is in excellent shape like the bayonet showing minimal wear.
