Description
6/25/26 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1905 Fourth Change revolver from 1941. It is all matching with a "U.S." property marking on the right side of the frame. It comes with a S&W factory letter that states this gun was shipped to the Defense Supply Commission at the Ravenna Ordnance Plant in Atlas, OH on September 24, 1941. It also comes with an excellent 1943-dated Boyt holster. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its original high polish bluing with very minor muzzle wear, hints of high edge wear, and some light spotty oxidation on the grip straps. There is a number "47" scratched into the back strap. Fitted with very nice period-correct checkered wood grips. Mint bore.
