Description
10/23/25 - This is a minty example of a scarce, end-of-war AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has the proper late-war features such as rough, visible machine marks and phosphate small parts. It has retained about 96-97% of its original finish. Nearly all of the wear is on the front strap, so the profile views are great. Fitted with reddish phenolic grips and comes with an "Eagle 359" marked Walther magazine. Like-new bore. De-cocker is functional.
