3/17/26 - This is an excellent example of an early Smith & Wesson Model 1905 manufactured in 1909. The gun's serial number has it falling within the 3rd change range. The revolver is all matching. This S&W has retained about 96% of its original finish with most of the finish loss coming from muzzle wear, the grip straps, and a spot on the top of the frame above the cylinder. The cylinder has a visible roll mark. There is nice case hardening over the hammer and trigger. The grips are excellent, original, and correct for a 3rd change Model 1905. There are no signs of chips or cracks. The bore is bright with a nice mirror finish. The barrel is 6" long.
