Description
3/15/26 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Victory Revolver issued to the US military in 1944-45. It is all matching, and the top strap is marked "US Property" with "GHD" inspector initials and a military flaming bomb proof. The “SV” serial prefix indicates late-war production (circa 1944–1945) and denotes an improved hammer block safety design added by Smith & Wesson. This one has retained about 96-97% of its original parkerized finish with just the slightest hints of high edge and muzzle wear. There is a bit of wear on the cylinder including a visible roll mark. Some light freckling on the right side of the frame. The original grips are in very good condition but the right grip is not matching to the gun and the left grip is unnumbered (left grip unnumbered is correct). The bore is bright with excellent rifling. There is a small bit of frosting however. 4 inch barrel.
